A MEMORIAL service will be held to celebrate the life of a popular pensioner who died from horrific burns after a fire at her flat.
Hundreds of mourners are expected at St Andrew's in Holborn next Wednesday, to pay their respects for 73-year-old Vera Arde-Acquah who was killed in a blaze at her home in New Wanstead.
Her friend the Dean of Westminster is due to speak at the service which will begin at 7pm.
More than 250 people packed into Christ Church in Wanstead to pay their last respects to the pensioner during one of the parish's biggest ever funeral services last month.
The devout Anglican died in hospital four days after the fire at her home in September - which is thought to have been started accidently.
