THERE was gridlock in rush hour yesterday evening when a car crashed into a barrier on the A406 North Circular.

It happened at around 5.15pm on Wednesday (February 22) by the Crooked Billet Roundabout on the Walthamstow and Chingford border.

Part of the road was closed for more than 45 minutes while the carriageway was cleared.

Police said no-one was injured.
