1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest (the Council) under Sections 90A and 90C of the Highways Act 1980, the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 and Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Acts 1984 proposes to raise ('speed table) the existing Zebra crossing in Old Church Road E4 situated between Mulberry Close and Silverthorn Gardens. The raised section will be situated on the crossing along with associated ramps either side of the crossing measuring approximately 11 metres in length (including the ramps).
"The elevated section (speed table) of the Zebra crossing mentioned above would be an elevated section of carriageway approximately 75 -100 millimetres ( 5mm) higher than the surrounding carriageway extending across the full width of the carriageway with ramps measuring between 1.5 metres and 3 metres.
2. FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN that the Council proposes to make the above-mentioned traffic Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The general effect of the Order would be to in Old Church Road E4, south-east side - to introduce double yellow line "at any time" waiting restrictions between the south-west kerb lines of Silverthorn Gardens south-west for a distance of 22 metres.
3. Plans of the proposed measures, a copy of the Order, the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order and of plans showing the location and effect of the Order can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until a period of 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published, at (a) The Information Desk, Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow, E17; and (b) The Reception Desk, The London Borough of Waltham Forest, Low Hall, Argall Avenue, London, E10 7AS.
4. Any person desiring to object to the proposals or to make any other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to Traffic Orders, Engineering Design, Low Hall, Argall Avenue, London, E10 7AS quoting reference T47(19) - Old Church Road raised Zebra & dyls by the end of a period of 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
