LONDON BOROUGH OF WALTHAM FOREST CHANGE FROM ADVISORY TO DESIGNATED DISADLED PERSONS PARKING PLACES

AND AMENDMENT OF ADJACENT PARKING PLACES The Waltham Forest (Cherged-For Perking Pieces) (Amendment No. 14) Order 2019 The Welthem Forest (Free Perking Pieces, Loading Places end Weiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No. 15) Order 2019

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Waltham Forest on 3rd October 2019 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6,45,46,49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.



2. The general effect of the Orders will be:



(a) to provide a designated disabled persons parking place measuring 6.6 metres in length (unless otherwise specified) in each of the locations specified in the Schedule to this Notice, in most cases replacing advisory parking places;



(b) where any proposed designated disabled persons parking place referred to in sub-paragraph (a) above is longer than the advisory disabled persons parking place it is replacing or where there is no existing advisory disabled persons parking place in the proposed location, to shorten any existing parking place in that location by the length necessary to provide the 6.6 metres long disabled persons parking place; and



(c) in Brookscrofl Rood, E17 outside No. 50, to remove approximately 2.5 metres of 'CE' CPZ permit holder parking space and replace it with single yellow line 'controlled hours' waiting restrictions (formalizing the advisory disabled parking space at this location into a designated person's parking place 6.6 metres in length); and



Note: The Orders are necessary to make space for disabled blue badge holders only to park without hindrance within reasonable distance to their homes. The previous proposal for a disabled parking place in Kirk Road E17 (adjacent to Edinburgh Primary School), Maude Road E17 (x2); Verulam Avenue, E17 adjacent to Nos. 200/202 Markhouse Road and Myrtle Road, E17 adjacent to No. 57 Downsfield Road are deferred until further notice; and at a future date, will either be made as previously proposed, amended or abandoned.

The Orders are necessary to make space for disabled blue badge holders only to park without hindrance within reasonable distance to their homes. The previous proposal for a disabled parking place in Kirk Road E17 (adjacent to Edinburgh Primary School),

adjacent to Nos. 200/202 Markhouse Road and

adjacent to No. 57 Downsfield Road are deferred until further notice; and at a future date, will either be made as previously proposed, amended or abandoned.

3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation from 3rd October 2019 and other relevant documents can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the expiration of a period of 6 weeks from that date, at: (a) The Information Desk, Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow, E17; and (b) Low Hall, Argall Avenue, London, E10 7AS.



4. Any person desiring to question the validity of either of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the making of the Orders, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
