THE TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING (GENERAL PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT) (ENGLAND) ORDER 2015 (AS AMENDED) NOTICE OF MAKING A NON-IMMEDIATE DIRECTION

UNDER ARTICLE 4 (1) TO WITHDRAW CERTAIN PERMITTED DEVELOPMENT RIGHTS IN DESIGNATED GROWTH AREAS AND METROPOLITAN AND DISTRICT CENTRES WITHIN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HARINGEY On 16th April 2020 the London Borough of Haringey ("the Council") made a new Direction under Article 4(1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended) ("the Order").

On 16th April 2020 the London Borough of Haringey ("the Council") made a new Direction under Article 4(1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (as amended) ("the Order").

The effect of the Article 4 Direction is to remove the permitted development right referred to in Schedule 2 Part 3 Class O of the Order. This is:

Class O - Development consisting of a change of use of a building and any land within its curtilage from a use falling within Class B1(a) (offices) of the Schedule to The Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) Order 1987 (as amended) to a use falling within Class C3 (dwellinghouses) of that Schedule within the Growth Areas, Metropolitan and District Centres within the London Borough of Haringey: This does not affect development permitted by Schedule 2 part 3 Class O which is expressed to be subject to prior approval where, in relation to that development the date on which the prior approval is given ("prior approval date") occurs before the date on which the direction comes into effect and the development is completed within a period of 3 years starting with the prior approval date. The Article 4 Direction will come into force, subject to confirmation by the Council, on 26th June 2021.
