(OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDERS (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2020
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for the Hertfordshire County Council, has made the above mentioned Order under Section 35(1) and (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order would be to amend the car park regulations in respect of Watford Council Car Parks to have effect as follows:- Shaftesbury Road Car Park: amend the hours of operation to Monday to Sunday inclusive between 8 am and 10 pm so as to accord with the recently amended on-street parking arrangements. In respect of the following Orders: to make corrections and additions to improve their clarity and to remedy an omission from an earlier Order. No changes are proposed to the existing on-site car parking arrangements or charges:- The Borough of Watford (Museum Car Park) (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2015, The Borough of Watford (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2019, The Borough of Watford (Watford Leisure Centre – Woodside and Woodside Stadium and Playing Fields, Watford) (Off-Street Parking Place) Order 2020.
A copy of the Order which comes into operation on Monday 27th July 2020, together with the statement of reasons for making the Order, may be viewed on the Council’s website at www.watford.gov.uk/askparking. If, owing to the Corona Virus shutdown, the Customer Service Centre at the Town Hall remains closed it will not possible to view the documents in person. However general enquiries relating to the proposals may be made by email to TID@watford.gov.uk. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.
