Waltham Forest Local Plan (LP1) - Shaping the Borough Regulation 19 Publication Notice
Waltham Forest Council Is preparing a new Local Plan in two parts covering Strategic Policies (LP1) and Site Allocations (LP2). This consultation notice relates to the Strategic Policies document - Waltham Forest Local Plan (LP1), Shaping the Borough. When adopted, this Plan will be used to manage growth and change in Waltham Forest over the next 15 years.
Following publication of the Draft Plan in July 2019, a revised Plan (Proposed Submission version) has been prepared for statutory consultation in accordance with Regulation 19 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012.
Inspection of documents
The Council is inviting representations on the Proposed Submission Local Plan (LP1). Supporting documents include Sustainability Appraisal, Habitats Regulations Assessment and Equality Impact Assessment. These documents are available for inspection and comment from Monday 26 October to Monday 14 December 2020:

Representations procedure
The Proposed Submission document is being published for representations to be made prior to formal submission to the Secretary of State for independent examination. At the examination stage, the Inspector will consider whether the Local Plan complies with legal requirements and meets what are known as the 'tests of soundness' set out in the National Planning Policy Framework. Representations may be accompanied by a request to be notified about the submission of the Local Plan for examination.
