LONDON BOROUGH OF WALTHAM FOREST HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTIONS 90A AND 90C TRAFFIC CALMING CONVERSION OF SPEED CUSHIONS TO FULL ROAD WIDTH HUMPS (T7(21))

1.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council, In accordance with Sections 90A and 90C of the Highways Act 1980, the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999, as amended, proposes to:

(a) convert speed cushions to sinusoidal humps known as "speed humps" in the following locations:

(i) Avondale Road, E17 outside Nos. 5, 21 and 39
(ii) Bisterne Avenue, E17 outside Nos. 18, 16, 22
(iii) Douglas Avenue, E17 outside Nos. 12, 27, 89 and 113
(iv) Fyfield Road, E17 outside No. 157
(v) Guildsway E17 outside Nos. 18 and 8
(vi) James Lane, E10 outside No. 56, 78 and 100
(vii) Keith Road, E17 outside No. 11
(viii) Lancaster Road, E11 outside No. 4 and under railway bridge
(ix) Lansdowne Road, E11 outside No. 53
(x) Lyne Crescent, E17 outside Nos. 16 and 42
(xi) Malvern Road, E11 outside Nos. 78 and 83
(xii) New Road, E4 outside Nos. 55, 83, 108 and 113 (xiii)Onra Road, E17 outside Nos. 1, 14 and 34 (xiv)Sansom Road, E11 by railway bridge
(xv) Walthamstow Avenue, E4 by Selco builders (xvi)Williams Avenue, E17 outside Nos 2 and 31

(b) Create a new speed table 8 metres in length including the gradients in Trelawn Road E10 at its junction with Colville Road (connecting pedestrians and cyclists from Langthorne Road to Langthorne bridge); and

(c) Create a speed hump in The Drive E17 (the north to south-west slip road leading to Gaitskell house) outside Mace House

NBI The sinusoidal road humps would be elevated sections of carriageway, between 75 and 100 millimetres (5mm) higher at their highest point than the surrounding carriageway, extending across the full width of the carriageway. The width of the humps will be between 3 and 3.7 metres

3. Any person desiring to object to the proposals or to make any other representation should send a statement in writing of either their objection and the grounds thereof or of their representation to Traffic Orders, Highways, Low Hall, Argall Avenue, London, E10 7AS, or by emailing:

quoting reference T7(21) boroughwide conversion of speed cushions to full road width humps by the end of a period of 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
