THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT N0.135) ORDER 2021 THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT N0.97) ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet have made on 4th March 2021 the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6,45,46,49,51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
In order to provide a parking facility to disabled blue badge holders who meet qualifying criteria, the general effect of the above Orders will be to provide designated disabled parking bays for use by motorists in their vehicles who display both a valid disabled blue badge and a dedicated disabled permit which will be applicable to each bay, outside the following locations: 12 Sutton Crescent EN5 (converting part of an existing resident permit holders only parking bay), 6 Mallow Mead NW7 and 24 to 26 Friern Park N12 (converting part of an existing resident permit holders only parking bay). The Free Order will also introduce a general disabled permit holder only parking bay operational Monday to Saturday 7am to 8pm maximum stay 30 minutes, no return within 1 hour, would also be provided outside the Royal Mail Sorting Office on Lodge Lane N12. The Free Order will also remove redundant disabled parking bays outside the following locations: 15 Underne Avenue N14,39 Vincent Court Bell Lane NW4 and 13 Dunstan Road NW11 (to be replaced with resident permit holders only parking).
A copy of the Orders, which will come into operation on Tuesday 9th March 2021 and the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Order can be obtained, for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing
or by writing to the Design Team, Highways Section, 6th Floor, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London NW9 4EW.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
