ABBOTSHALL AVENUE N14, BURFORD GARDENS N13, DEVONSHIRE ROAD N13, DERWENT ROAD N13, EXETER ROAD N9, GRANVILLE ROAD N13, GROVELANDS ROAD N13, HOUNDSFIELD ROAD N9, INVERNESS AVENUE EN1, NEW RIVER CRESCENT N13, OLD PARK ROAD N13, OLLERTON ROAD N11, RADCLIFFE ROAD N21, SOLNA ROAD N21, THE MALL N14 AND WARWICK
ROAD N11 - PLAY STREET ROAD CLOSURES

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield have made the Enfield (Play Street Restrictions) (No.1) Order 2021 under section 29 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding on the sections of Abbotshall Avenue N14, Burford Gardens N13, Devonshire Road N13, Derwent Road N13, Exeter Road N9, Granville Road N13, Grovelands Road N13, Houndsfield Road N9, Inverness Avenue EN1, New River Crescent N13, Old Park Road N18, Ollerton Road N11, Radcliffe Road N21, The Mall N14 and Warwick Road N11 as specified in Schedule 1 to this notice on the dates and times detailed in Schedule 2 to this notice.

3. The Order provides that the prohibition will not apply to:

(a) any vehicle requiring access to a property in Abbotshall Avenue N14, Burford Gardens N13, Devonshire Road N13, Derwent Road N13, Exeter Road N9, Granville Road N13, Grovelands Road N13, Houndsfield Road N9, Inverness Avenue EN1, New River Crescent N13, Old Park Road N18, Ollerton Road N11, Radcliffe Road N21, The Mall N14 and Warwick Road N11;

(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency; or

(c) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a traffic warden or a civil enforcement officer.

4. Following the Coronavirus pandemic the made order can now be inspected at The Town Library, Enfield. They can also be inspected on line online at:

5. Copies of the Order may be purchased from Traffic and Transportation, The Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middx, EN1 3XD.

6. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
