Cycle Lane / Bus Lane Green Lanes, N13 - Temporary Restriction Of Traffic

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in order to facilitate essential utility works on Green Lanes, N13, the Council of the London Borough of Enfield propose to make the Enfield (Green Lanes, N13) (No.4) (Temporary Restriction of Traffic) Order 2022 under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The effect of the Order would be to:

(i) prohibit cyclists from entering or proceeding on the northbound cycle lane Green Lanes, N13, from its junction with Broomfield Lane northwards for a distance of approximately 100 metres; and

(ii) Suspend the southbound bus lane from a point in line with 196/198 Green Lanes to its junction with Oakthorpe Road, as and when directed by signage.

3. The prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2 above would not apply to works vehicles or, if the works allow, to police or emergency services vehicles.

4. The prohibitions would come into operation on 16 May 2022 and would continue in force for 5 days or until works are completed.

5. Whilst the restrictions are in operation cyclists will be required to dismount and walk or join the main carriageway to cycle.
