SAFETY MEASURES FOR ROKESLY PRIMARY SCHOOL
The Haringey (Prescribed Routes) (No. 10) Order 2022
The Haringey (Free Parking Places, Loading Places And Waiting, Loading And Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No.29) Order 2022 T14


1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Haringey on 26* May 2022 has made the above mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be to introduce:-School Street Zone SS13 - Rokesly Primary School

(a) Timed pedestrian and cycle zones in which motor vehicles, except for those issued a permit would be prohibited from entering, Mon-Fri 8.15-9.15am 2.45-3.45pm (closure times reduced following consultation) during school term times and when the appropriate signs are on display on the following roads:

Hermiston Avenue, From its junction with Rokesly Avenue to its junction with Elmfield Avenue.

Elmfield Avenue, From its junction with Middle Lane to its junction with Tottenham Lane.

Those eligible for permits include properties and residents of Elmfield Avenue (all), 38 - 58 Hermiston Avenue (evens), Mulberrry Close (all), 74-76 Middle Lane (evens), 58 Rokesly Avenue, qualified medical practitioners attending to provide critical care to residents within the prescribed zone, disabled badge holders who requires access to a property within the prescribed zone and school buses and vehicles used in the transport of children and adults with special access needs in relation to Rokesly Primary School within the zone. All vehicles will be allowed to exit the zone whilst it is in operation.

(b) loading restrictions operating at any time, in:-

Rokesly Avenue - SOUTH WEST SIDE: from the north western kerb line of Hermiston Avenue north west for 12 metres. SOUTH WEST SIDE: from the south eastern kerb line of Hermiston Avenue south east for 4 metres. NORTH EAST SIDE: from the south eastern kerb line of Hermiston Avenue south east for 4 metres. NORTH EAST SIDE: from the north western kerb line of Hermiston Avenue north west for 12 metres.

Elmfield Avenue - NORTH EAST SIDE: (i) from the south eastern kerb line of Hermiston Avenue south east for 10 metres, (ii) from the north western kerb line of Hermiston Avenue north west for 8 metres.

Hermiston Avenue - BOTH SIDES: From its junction with Rokesly Avenue south west for 12 metres. SOUTH EAST: From its junction with Elmfield Avenue north east for 12 metres. NORTH WEST: From its junction with Elmfield Avenue north east for 13 metres.

NOTES: These Orders supersedes similar provisions at the above locations implemented by way of experimental Orders made under section 9 of the 1984 Act (which are revoked).

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 6th June 2022.

5. Application to the high court: Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it does not comply with the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
