Bournemouth Borough Council - Invitation to tender for: Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole Independent Domestic Violence Advisors and Independent Sexual Violence Advisors services
Bournemouth Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest for the provision of Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) and Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA)
services in Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole.
An IDVA service is an independent domestic violence advice service that works in partnership with criminal justice and other agencies as part of the MARAC process in order to give advice,
information and support to high risk victims of domestic violence about options to improve their safety and that of their children. This advice must be based on an understanding of risk and its
management. We require short to medium term casework. TUPE will apply in relation to this contract.
An ISVA service is an independent sexual violence advice service that works in partnership with a range of local statutory and voluntary services in order to support victims of rape, sexual
violence and sexual abuse. We require the provision of support to victims (eventually referred through the Sexual Assault referral Centre) who access the criminal justice process and those who
choose not to, helping them to move forward with their lives and to access the services they need during the immediacy of their experience.
The contract will run for 3 years, beginning on 1st April 2012 with an option to extend for a maximum of a further two years subject to satisfactory performance by the contractor and funding
availability. Both contracts will also have breakout clauses.
The contract is being offered in two lots, the IDVA service, and the ISVA service, organisations interested in applying may apply for one or both.
