Report of Local Government Ombudsman
The Local Government Ombudsman has issued a report following her investigation of a complaint against London Borough of Croydon. The complaint was about a Disabled Children’s Social Care Services matter. The Ombudsman found that there had been fault on the part of the Council, and this had caused significant injustice to the complainants. London Borough of Croydon has agreed to take action which the Ombudsman regards as providing a satisfactory remedy for the complaint. The Council must now consider the report and tell the Ombudsman within three months (or such longer period as she may agree) what it proposes to do.
Copies of the report will be available for public inspection during normal office hours at Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA and at Croydon Town Hall, Katharine St, Croydon CR0 1NX for three weeks starting on 24th July 2017.
Anyone is entitled to take copies of the report or extracts from it. Copies will be supplied at a reasonable charge.
