EDMONTON GREEN SOUTH CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE- EXTENSION INTO FELIXSTOWE ROAD N9

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield made:

(I) The Enfield (Residents' Parking Places) (Edmonton Green South) (Felixstowe Road Extension) Experimental Traffic Order 2017; and
(II) The Enfield (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 138) Experimental Traffic Order 2017 under Section 9 and 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Orders will come Into effect on 2 October 2017.

2. The general effect of the Order would be, on an experimental basis, to:

(a) extend the existing Edmonton Green South CPZ so that it includes the length of Felixstowe Road that lies between Brettenham Road and No. 100 Felixstowe Road;
(b) retain the existing "at any time" waiting restrictions at the junctions within this length of road;
(c) provide resident permit holders parking places on both sides of the road that will operate between 9am and 8pm on Mondays to Sundays inclusive;
(d) provide single yellow line waiting restrictions that operate between 9am and 8pm on Mondays to Sundays in every length of road in the CPZ not occupied by parking places or "at any time" waiting restrictions;
(e) provide that residents whose postal address is within the extended Edmonton Green South CPZ area would be able to purchase residents' permits and residents' visitor vouchers for parking within the Edmonton Green South CPZ in the same way as residents whose postal address is within the existing Edmonton Green South CPZ.

3. Copies of the Orders and other documents may be inspected at the Reception Desk, the Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XD during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made.

5. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained therein on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for that purpose to the High Court.

6. The Council will consider in due course whether the provisions of the Order should be continued in force indefinitely by means of a permanent Order. Any person may object to the making of the permanent Order for the purpose of such indefinite continuation, within a period of not less than six months beginning with the date on which the experimental Order comes into force or, if the Order is varied by another Order or modified pursuant to section 10(2) of the 1984 Act, beginning with the date on which the variation or modification or the latest variation or modification comes into force. Any such objection must be made in writing and must state the grounds on which it is made and be sent to Traffic and Transportation, The Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middx, EN1 3XD.
