SECTION 153 OF THE PLANNING ACT 2008 AND REGULATION 6 OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNING (CHANGES TO, AND REVOCATION OF DEVELOPMENT CONSENT ORDERS) REGULATIONS 2011
NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO MAKE A NON MATERIAL CHANGE TO THE FOLLOWING DEVELOPMENT CONSENT ORDER: THE NORTH LONDON HEAT AND POWER GENERATING STATION ORDER 2017 (S.I. 2017/215) (the "Order")
Notice is hereby given that an application has been made by North London Waste Authority ("NLWA") of Unit 1B, Berol House, 25 Ashley Road, Tottenham Hale, London N17 9LJ to the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy ("Secretary of State") to make a non-material change to the Order under the Planning Act 2008 ("Application").
The Order grants development consent for the construction, operation and maintenance of a generation station located at Edmonton EcoPark. The Application seeks to make a non-material amendment to the description of the authorised development in Schedule 1 of the Order, for the purposes of increasing the maximum electrical output of the generation station from "up to 70 megawatts of electricity (MWe) (gross)" to "up to 78 megawatts of electricity (MWe) (gross)". The increase in electrical output will not result in an increase in the 700,000 tonnes maximum annual throughput of waste at the ERF. The Application does not propose any further changes to the Order. No new compulsory acquisition powers are sought as a result of the Application. Copies of the Application
