NOTICE IS HEREBYGIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet propose to make the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 32, 35, 45, 46, 46A,49, 51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. In order to effectively manage parking space in the Colindale area and deter commuter-type parking from taking place thus improving resident parking opportunity and reducing traffic congestion in the affected area, it is proposed to extend the Colindale Controlled Parking Zone to include certain roads in the areas, and introduce parking controls in certain off-street parking places in the vicinity.
1. The general effect of the Charged-for Parking Places Order would be to:

(a) introduce parking places for the use of residents and their visitors in Swan Drive NW9 and Kestrel Close NW9.

(b) provide that the parking places referred to in (a) above would operate between 8am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday during which motorists would be required to have avalid resident's permit associated with their vehicle, or have avisitor voucher displayed in their vehicle, to be entitled to park in the parking places.

(c) provide that residents residing in the range of addresses detailed in the Schedule 1tothis notice would be eligible to purchase resident's permits and vouchers which would enable that motorist to park their vehicle without limitation during the operational hours of the parking places referred to in (a) above.

2. The general effect of the Free Parking Places, Loading Places, Waiting, Loading and Stopping Restrictions Order would be to:

(a) introduce Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30pm waiting restrictions in Swan Drive NW9 and Kestrel Close NW9

(b) introduce at any time waiting restrictions at the junction of Swan Drive and Kestrel Close NW9.

Loading would be permitted in parking places referred to in 1 above, and on waiting restrictions referred to in 2above, for up to 40 minutes provided that the loading/unloading activity was seen to be actively taking place.
3. The general effect of the Off-Street Parking Places Order would be to:

(a) Regulate parking in the public car park in Quakers Course NW9 so that it accommodates resident permit holder parking and payment parking with amaximum stay of 3hours.

(b) provide that the public car park referred to in (a) above, would operate between 8am and 6.30pm Mondays to Fridays, during which motorists would be required to have avalid resident's permit associated with their vehicle or have avisitor voucher displayed in their vehicle, or pay the requisite tariff to be entitled to park in the parking places.

(c) Regulate parking in the car park in Hundred Acre NW9 so that it accommodates resident permit holder parking and payment parking with amaximum stay of 3hours.

(d) provide that the public car park referred to in (a) above, would operate between 8am and 6.30pm Mondays to Fridays, during which motorists would be required to have avalid resident's permit associated with their vehicle or have avisitor voucher displayed in their vehicle, or pay the requisite tariff to be entitled to park in the parking places.

(e) provide that residents residing in the range of addresses detailed in the Schedule 2tothis notice would be eligible to purchase resident's permits and vouchers which would enable that motorist to park their vehicle without limitation during the operational hours of the car parks referred to in (a) and (c) above as appropriate.

4. Forthe carparks referred to in 3above, the following tariff will apply:

Acopy of the proposed Orders, and associated plans of the relevant areas and the Council's Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders can be inspected between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive for aperiod of 28 days fromthe date on which this notice is published at:
