HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 The Somerset County Council (Footpaths BW 23/23 (part) BW 23/26 (part) and BW 23/28 (part) in the Parish of North Petherton) Public Path Diversion Order, 2018 The above order made on 24 August 2018 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert:
1. Part of public footpath BW 23/23 starting from its western end at Impens Farm (point A on the order plan) and running in a generally east north easterly direction for approximately 97 metres to point B and then in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 20 metres to point E. To a route which starts at Petherton Road to the north of Impens Cottages at Grid Reference ST29852 31525 (point F on the order plan) and runs in a generally easterly direction along the track for approximately for 20 metres to point G and then in a generally south south easterly direction for approximately 6 metres to point H and then in a generally easterly direction following the northern field boundary for approximately 55 metres to point I and;

2. Part of public footpath BW 23/26 starting from its south western junction with footpath BW 23/23 (point B on the order plan) and running in a generally northerly direction for approximately 30 metres to point C and then in a generally east north easterly direction for approximately 65 metres to point ?. To a route which starts from Footpath BW 23/23 at Grid Reference ST29942 31635 (point E on the order plan) and runs in a generally north easterly direction for approximately 75 metres to point D and;

3. Part of public footpath BW 23/28 starting from its northern junction with footpaths BW 23/26 and BW 23/5 (point J on the order plan) and running in a generally southerly direction for approximately 70 metres to point K and then in a generally south easterly direction for approximately 8 metres to point L. To a route which starts at Footpath BW 23/25 at Grid Reference ST30790 31940 (point M on the order plan) and runs in a generally southerly direction along the track following the western field boundary for approximately 75 metres to point L.

A copy of the order and the order plan have been placed and may be seen free of charge at: I.Somerset County Council, Second Floor, B Block, County Hall, Taunton, (please report to reception and ask to speak to someone from the Rights of Way Definitive Map Team), from 9.30am until 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Copies of the Order may be bought there at the price of £10.00.
2. Sedgemoor District Council, Bridgwater House, King Square, Bridgwater from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm Monday to Friday. Any representation or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to Rights of Way Definitive Map Team, Economic and Community Infrastructure, Somerset County Council, B Block, County Hall, Taunton, TA1 4DY, Ref: RW/416L/SL to be received not later than 9 October 2018. Please state the grounds on which it is made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Somerset County Council may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order. At this stage they will be made available for public inspection. Prior to submission to the Secretary of State, representations and objections will only be disclosed anonymously (i.e. with personal data redacted).
