Following on from its launch in January at Pictorem Gallery in Walthamstow, Movement: Artworks is celebrating its successful and highly creative first half-year with two summer exhibitions and an art jam.

The first part of the exhibition finished last week, and part two opens on Friday, July 18. Artists featured include Walthamstow regulars such as John Clair, Pauli Bates (Hmmmbates), Raffaella Bertolini, Experimental (Faizal Lulat), James Ward, Bronte Adams, Olivier Tafforin, and Martina Paukova. Between them, they will be exhibiting 17 pieces in the show.

"All the work is 2D, and there was no intended theme but it has turned out to be a heavily graffiti- and graphic-led show," explains Mathew Viera, one of the artists who exhibited last week.

Finally, the art jam will take give guests the chance to draw on the gallery walls. There will also be a selection of artworks from previous shows on display, to provide inspiration for aspiring artists.

Movement: Artworks is an artist-led company that was created to empower individual artists to achieve greater recognition for their work by being part of a collective, by providing them with a platform through events, workshops and artist talks.
