London Model Engineering Exhibition

Come along and see the full spectrum of modelling from traditional model engineering, steam locomotives and traction engines through to modern gadgets including trucks, boats, aeroplanes and helicopters. Visitors can travel between the show’s different zones, trying the activities and watching fascinating and technical demonstrations. Over 50 clubs and societies will be present displaying their members work. In total, nearly 2,000 models will be on display. All of the leading suppliers will also be present showcasing new products and special promotions and giving hobbyists an excellent opportunity to see and compare products under one roof. You will be able to purchase virtually anything you need for your next model or project or to get you started in a hobby.

Ping Pong and Music Workshop

Investigate the rhythmic possibilities of the percussive sound of ping-pong in an open workshop. In this playful introduction to composing, play the game, learn new racket techniques and discover how all these different sounds can be transformed into musical material. If you have an instrument, bring it along to contribute a melody or integrate into the sound of play. Remember, no experience of composition or ping-pong is necessary – just an open mind and a sense of fun.
