Library nominated for award
Redbridge Central Library has been nominated for a prestigious award.
The library in Clements Road, Ilford is up for Library of the Year in the Bookseller Industry Awards (BIA).
The BIA awards recognise outstanding achievement in the book trade with awards handed out to publishers, retailers and libraries.
Redbridge Central Library is one of seven nominees in the library category and the only one from London.
It underwent a £465,000 refit last year.
The awards will be handed out on a gala ceremony on May 13 at the Hilton Hotel in Park Lane, London.
