Swashbuckling and piracy came to Woodford Green as pupils staged a spectacular production of Treasure Island.
Timbers were well and truly shivered as the young cast at Bancroft’s School in High Road, entertained parents and pupils with three performances of the Robert Louis Stevenson classic.
More than 30 children took part in the play which featured a lavish set and some exciting fight scenes.
Daniella Mardell, the play’s director and head of Spanish at the school, said: “It was great to see the energy and enthusiasm which the talented group brought to their parts - despite the challenges of wooden legs, sword fights and difficult nautical language!”
