Waltham Forest’s own disabled hockey team are set to compete in an international tournament.
Forest Flyerz, a group of players with a variety of disabilities, will be taking part in the Flyerz Festival of Disabled Hockey on Saturday, July 20.
The event will feature clubs from around London and from countries as far away as Holland, and will also have the Olympic Bronze medal-winning ladies’ GB team along to help out.
The event takes place at Walthamstow Academy in Billet Road, Walthamstow, between 10.30am and 3pm.
