A litter pick around the streets of Clayhall is being held this Sunday to tackle the problem of rubbish and fly-tipping in the area.
Ward councillor Gurdial Bhamra has organised the event in partnership with residents.
He said: "We wish to raise awareness, seek to increase enforcement levels and to encourage our residents to report fly-tipping and assist council officers/others to prosecute those responsible."
Volunteers of all ages are wanted for the event, which takes place from 11am until 1pm.
Gloves and equipment will be provided.
Those who want to take part are asked to meet in the forecourt of Redbridge underground station at 11am.
