A woman responsible for the care of four children has denied assaulting and neglecting them.
Anita Holmes, of Wadham Road in Walthamstow, pleaded not guilty to four separate counts of assault, ill-treatment, neglect and abandonment at Snaresbrook Crown Court yesterday.
The 44-year-old was arrested on April 18 and charged with the offences following an incident at the address that day.
All four children under the age of 16 are being cared for by Waltham Forest Social Services.
Holmes has been remanded on conditional bail ahead of the trial at Snaresbrook Crown Court on November 3.
