A community pub will host a beer festival this weekend in a bid to raise money for terminally ill children and young adults.

The Theydon Oak pub in Cooperale Street, Epping, has dedicated two weekends to raising funds for Hainault charity The Dream Factory.

The Dream Factory, which launched in 2008, has already granted almost 300 wishes for those aged three to 25 years and have life threatening conditions or severe disabilities.

The weekends on September 27 and October 4 will feature over 20 cask ale brands as well as entertainment through live music and themed bar foods.

Pub manager Iain Moran said: “I’m chuffed to bits that we will be supporting The Dream Factory. It’s great supporting a local charity that’s doing such great things.”

The beer festival will also celebrate British Cask Ale Week.

Epping Town Mayor Barbara Scruton said: “I’m delighted that the pub will be supporting The Dream Factory which I have chosen to support during my year as mayor.”
