An application to build 105 homes and shops on a business park has been re-submitted, despite previous opposition.

Fyfield Joint Venture has submitted an outline planning application to Epping Forest District Council to redevelop Fyfield Business Park in High Street, Ongar, into 105 homes.

The plans include an extension to an existing café, 140 sqm of new retail space, as well as recreational facilities including a play area and a junior football pitch.

Parking, a new public open space and roundabout off Fyfield Road, is also detailed on the application.

In November 2013, Ongar Town Council wrote to the secretary of state for communities Eric Pickles to express concerns that there was a lack of public consultation and details of pedestrian safety in the plans for 80 homes at the site.

The revised plans will be discussed at a town council meeting on February 12.
