A primary school class have premiered their short film at Empire Cinema in Walthamstow to rave reviews from the new mayor of Waltham Forest.
Year 5 pupils from St Patrick's RC School in Longfield Avenue were praised by Mayor Saima Mahmud today for their special viewing of their short film Show Don't Tell.
Cllr Mahmud was "impressed" by the film-making talent and acting ability of the children and also honoured the dedication of the E17 Film volunteers, who led the project.
Paul Fletcher, co-founder of the Walthamstow International Film Festival was also full of praise for the youngsters.
He said: “This is the beginning of the film-making career for the ten-year-olds and I looked forward to seeing more short films from the students”.
