ELTON John's music is the most popular choice for many Redbridge funerals, followed by Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley.

The selections were discovered in a survey by Redbridge Age Concern Funeral Plans which helps people plan for their funerals by offering a choice of traditional funeral arrangements through approved funeral directors.

Gregory Stevens, Age Concern Redbridge Trading Manager, said: "Music is certainly one of the most important areas that people want tailored to their own tastes to ensure a very special occasion to be remembered by.

"We appreciate that planning for the future can seem difficult, but arranging a funeral plan can take less than half an hour.

"Benefits include being able to pay for the cost of a funeral at today's prices from £1,880, and peace of mind knowing that arrangements have been made to suit your individual wishes."

Age Concern is offering a reward for advance planning and will send the first five people to take out an Age Concern Funeral Plan between May 1 and June 30, a free luxury box of chocolates from Hotel Chocolat.

To qualify the personal arrangements form must be requested and returned to Age Concern Redbridge.
