Hundreds of pupils from Forest School joined the nation in a minute’s silence following the Paris attacks.
At least 129 people were killed on Friday evening by eight ISIS gunmen and suicide bombers, in the worst terror attacks in Europe for a decade.
Today, people around the world stopped to pay respects to those killed and to show support for those left behind.
In a mark of respect pupils gathered in the Chapel Quad in College Place, Snaresbrook ahead of the minute’s silence at 11am.
Led by the school’s chaplain, Father Trathen spoke of his "sadness and surprise at being back in the Chapel Quad just days after the School community had marked Remembrance Day".
Several pupils including two French A-Level students then spoke about the tragic events and the need to show "solidarity and support during difficult and trying times".
Each line of the English speech was then spoken in French.
