A MOTORCYCLIST had a lucky escape after their bike crashed into a bus and burst into flames.
The London Fire Brigade, Ambulance Service and Met Police were called to Hermon Hill in Wanstead just after 0.40am today (Tuesday, December 13).
When they arrived they found a motorbike that had crashed into a W14 bus and caught fire.
A LFB spokesman said the motorbike was “completely destroyed by the fire” but miraculously the rider only suffered “minor injuries”.
The fire was under control just 11 minutes later, but the road remained closed while the emergency services finished dealing with the incident.
