Tottenham Hotspur are said to be keen on signing Atletico Madrid winger Nicolas Gaitan.
The Evening Standard reports Spurs have made an enquiry for the 28-year-old’s services but Atletico are unwilling to sell.
Having joined the Madrid club in July, Gaitan has struggled to impose himself on Diego Simeone’s first team, making nine La Liga appearances and scoring two goals.
Simeone is said to value the former Benfica man and has informed Gaitan he wants to keep him at the club.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino insists he is happy with his current squad, but refused to rule out making a signing should the right player become available.
