A “nasty” lock knife was found by neighbourhood police officers during a routine weapon sweep of bushes along a residential road.
As part of Operation Sceptre officers across the capital are cracking down on knife crime, taking hundreds of deadly weapons of our streets.
When Lea Bridge safer neighbourhood team officers swept the Bakers Arms area of Leyton and Walthamstow yesterday, they made an alarming discovery in some bushes by a residential road.
The officers then tweeted: “#LeaBridgeSNT conducted weapon sweeps in the Bakers Arms area & found this nasty lock knife hidden in the bushes. #OpSceptre #StopKnifeCrime”
