Epping Town Council is planning to refurbish the pavilion at a recreation ground and open a café at the site.
The Jack Silley Pavilion, at Stonards Hill Recreation Ground, is used by football teams, dog walkers, exercisers, visitors to the playground and scouts is earmarked for an overhaul by councillors.
The town council has ring-fenced a sum of money through the planning system, which it will use in addition to grants and other funding to complete the project.
Plans include a new café at the pavilion, as well as maintenance including a new roof.
Plans are now available to view through Epping Forest District Council’s website and it will be advertised when the work is projected to begin in Spring 2018.
