Five people including a 16-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man who died after being stabbed in the stomach.
Kacem Mokrane, 18, of Walthamstow was attacked by a gang armed with weapons in Mount Pleasant Road in the Higham Hill area at around 11.15pm on Thursday, November 16.
The 18-year-old died in hospital on Monday, November 20.
A post mortem examination gave the cause of death as multiple organ failure after a stab wound.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating and are appealing for information.
A 16-year-old male boy and a 20-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of murder today, Tuesday November 28.
On Monday, November 27, two 17-year-old boys and a 19-year-old man were arrested at addresses in east London on suspicion of murder.
All five are in custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Dave Whellams, leading the investigation, said: "It has now been over a week since Kacem was attacked and murdered in the street.
“Our investigation continues to make progress but I would ask anyone who has information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to contact my officers - it could prove vital to this investigation.”
