WORSHIPPERS ate doughnuts from a rope to celebrate a synagogue’s first Hanukkah.
Members of the East London and Essex Liberal Synagogue gathered on Saturday, December 16, to mark the important event in the Jewish calendar.
Regular and non-regular members enjoyed face painting, ate potato latkes and span a dreidel.
The ceremony ended with a candle lighting for the fifth night of Hanukkah.
