Leyton Orient have, as expected, added to their striking options with the loan signing of Dan Holman from Cheltenham Town.
The 27-year-old was left out of Town’s squad for their New Year’s Day clash with Stevenage which saw the Robins lose 4-1.
The move sees him join the Brisbane Road side until the end of the season and be his second loan spell at National League level in this campaign, having already spent time with Boreham Wood.
Holman found the net four times in his short-term spell with the Meadow Park club, including scoring the winner in the Wood’s FA Cup win over Blackpool.
Injury has played a role in preventing Holman from making an impact at Cheltenham and he scored just one goal in League Two last season.
The former Woking and Dover man has scored 64 goals in 177 league outings throughout his career and Orient will hope he can help fire them up the table.
