HOMEOWNERS fear a neighbour’s planning application will damage their ability to sell property in the future.
The Woodford Green applicant wants to build an extension at the back and side of his semi-detached home in Horn Lane, but opponents fear it will negatively impact the area.
Three objectors fear the extensions will cause a loss of privacy, light and look out of place compared to neighbouring properties.
Opponents also worry it will have an adverse effect on quality of life and negatively impact the saleability of other homes.
An impact assessment found that the rear extension would not block light coming into properties either side of the applicant or affect the views from their back gardens.
The fate of the application will be decided by Redbridge Council’s planning committee on Wednesday, January 24.
