A supermarket has been closed after food safety inspectors found an “uncontrolled mouse infestation” and “contamination of food”.
Turkish Food Centre (TFC) in Leytonstone High Road was ordered to cease trading by Waltham Forest Council until further notice.
A sign posted on the shop’s window on Friday, January 26 states the closure is due to the pest problem and the building being in a “state of poor repair and condition”.
Eda Quality Foods Ltd which runs TFC has been contacted for comment.
