BURGLARS held a kitchen knife to a victim’s throat before fleeing with a large amount of jewellery.

Five to six masked men broke into a house in Seagry Road, Wanstead, via the back door on Monday, February 5, while the victims were indoors.

The burglars told the victims to put their hands on the table while they searched the property. They also took the victims’ phones so they could not call the police.

Police, who were called at around 9.30pm, say burglars stole a significant amount of jewellery.

The suspects are described as young men, wearing dark clothes and masks.

No arrests have been made and there are no reports of any injuries.

Redbridge detectives are investigating and enquiries are ongoing.
