A HIGH street retailer has announced a new opening date for a branch.
Shoppers have been promised that a new Marks and Spencer Simply Food store in High Street, Wanstead, will open early next season.
The branch was originally meant to open last year on Tuesday, October 10, but was pushed back due to construction issues.
The store opening will create 42 new jobs. It will be based next to The George.
A spokesman for M&S says: “Due to construction delays, our new Wanstead store will be opening in early summer 2018.
“We’d like to thank the community for their patience, we will provide a date for our opening as soon as we can.
“We’re working hard on the store and remain committed to bringing the very best of M&S to Wanstead.”
