A MAN was airlifted to hospital after a four car crash involving an ambulance.
At around 10.10am on Saturday an ambulance on emergency call collided with a Vauxhall Combo van outside Sheering Newsagents and Post Office, in the north-east corner of the Epping Forest District.
The van then hit a parked Citroen C4 Cactus, which was pushed into a parked Mazda 3.
The van driver, a 61-year-old man from Harlow, was airlifted to the Royal London Hospital with serious injuries.
The two ambulance staff suffered minor injuries.
Enquiries are continuing into the circumstances of the collision.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or was driving in the area at the time and has dash cam footage is asked to contact PC Mark Turner at the Chigwell Roads Policing Unit on 101.
