A ‘church family’ has raised more than £1,000 for charity by holding a fun day.
Parishioners in Leytonstone gathered in the grounds St John’s Church on Sunday (May 13) to celebrate Christian Aid Week.
While the adults mingled at stalls selling clothes and bric-a-brac, the younger members of the church were entertained with face-painting and activities.
The annual fundraising drive which lasts until Saturday (May 19) aims to raise cash for Christian Aid, which works in some of the poorest countries in the world.
