Children were put through their paces as part of an obstacle course to raise money for their school.

Pupils from Clore Tikva in Barkingside raised £4,500 for new sports equipment as part of the fun day.

The obstacle course included an army crawl net, tire run, squats, push ups, wall climbing and vaults among others.

The school had help from Nuffield Gym who ran one of the stands, the Barkingside Farm Shop who supplied fruit and Top Golf who are giving every pupil a free game of golf.

Wes Streeting MP attended to support the event and present pupils with medals.

Ursula Perry, event organiser at Clore Tikva, said: “I love putting this event together because the children have a lot of fun and get a lot out of it. It’s definitely one of the best days in the school calendar."

Wes Streeting, MP for Ilford North, said: “It was great to support this brilliant day at Clore Tikva.

"The parents and staff involved did a fantastic job organising what must be one of the most fun and elaborate obstacle courses put on by any school in the Borough.

"The money raised will be put to good use by the school.

“There were smiles all round from the pupils who clearly had a great time. I’m looking forward to the next one."
