A young motor enthusiast has won six out of twelve races in his first season on the saloon track.
Joel Wren got a taste of racing at a friends go-karting birthday party when he was ten.
After four years of competitive karting the Debden Park pupil decided to step-up into saloon racing and hit the ground running.
He is currently sitting in second in the Junior Saloon Car Championships following trips to Rockingham, Silverstone and Brands Hatch.
Ian Wren, Joel's dad, said: "He is one of the youngest in the country and the youngest in the championships.
"He is absolutely determined.
"He is working hard and training hard.
"Anything with an engine he loves. He would much rather be tinkering with an engine than playing with his phone."
