21 new councillors will return to Epping Forest District Council.
Pillars of the community are sought help new comers to their area.
Community Champion are volunteers who help promote health and wellbeing events and information within their towns.
The district council is looking for over 18s who are passionate about where they live.
Officer Patrick Arnold said: "We are looking for people that are able to build on strong community connections and are happy to support and promote fun days and community events, as well as sharing information of local services in their area.
"They might be able to help people moving into the area know about things like bus routes."
