A middle-aged man was knocked from his moped and robbed at knifepoint.
The victim, a 40 year-old man, was followed by two unknown suspects on a black motorbike as he drove his white moped from Chingford to Waltham Abbey.
As he reached Sewardstone Road at around 7pm yesterday (September 12) the victim was knocked from his vehicle and threatened with a knife.
A member of the public swung his van around to act as a barrier, stopping the suspects taking the moped.
They then drove away towards Chingford, leaving the victim with minor injuries.
