Nine Redbridge parks are up for awards.

As part of Keep Britain Tidy’ People’s Choice initiative, the top ten parks in the country will be decided by a public vote.

Across the country, there are more than 2,000 parks with Green Flag status. Nine Redbridge parks were given that status for another year in July.

Those parks are:

  • Clayhall Park
  • Claybury Wood
  • Elmhurst Gardens
  • Goodmayes Park
  • Hainault Forest Country Park
  • Ilford War Memorial
  • Seven Kings Park
  • South Park
  • Valentines Park

Now, people can vote for any of these parks to make the top ten nationally.

Council leader Cllr Jas Athwal said: “We were very proud to be awarded the Green Flag for nine of our parks in July. We have a dedicated parks team at Vision who get wonderful support from many community groups to ensure our green spaces are up to the highest standards.

“Now is your opportunity to show your appreciation by voting in the People’s Choice awards and putting our fantastic parks on the map, alongside the very best in the country.”

The poll is open throughout September and the top 10 People’s Choice winners will be announced on October 16.
