Flames engulfed a vehicle following a three car crash yesterday morning (September 24).
At 7.48am Essex Fire crews were called to Hainault Road in Chigwell.
Once arrived they found three vehicles, one of which was fully alight.
It is believed petrol had leaked from one of the cars after the crash.
A fire service spokesperson said: “The fire service were called at 7:48am this morning to a road traffic collision involving three vehicles in Hainault Road, Chigwell.
"One vehicle had caught alight.
"Fire crews extinguished the fire and left the scene at 9:30am."
All of the cars' occupants safely exited their vehicles.
