Here is a list of all the people who were jailed in the Redbridge, Epping and Waltham Forest area in September.

Pawel Szymanski, 33, of Cann Hall Road, Leytonstone

 

Syzmanski was among six smugglers who hid tobacco in pallets of floor underlay to avoid paying £1million in tax. He was jailed for a total of ten years.

Fatima Khan, of Jersey Road, Ilford

 

The 21-year-old filmed her ex-boyfriend, Khalid Safi, dying before posting the footage on social media. She had been previously found guilty of orchestrating his death.

Simon Luck, Paul Samuels and Aselm Legemah

 

The trio were jailed for conspiracy to carry out two carjackings on February 4 and February 16. The second targeted former boxing champion Michael Watson, who was sprayed with ammonia and dragged from his car in The Ridgeway, Chingford. The first happened when teenager Bradley Robinson was left blind for nearly four months when he was squirted with ammonia while filling up his Audi at the Esso Petrol Garage in Loughton.

The three men responsible were found gulity in September and are due to be sentenced.

David Buisson, of Stanley Place, Ongar

 

The serial burglar fled to Spain after stealing property worth around £914,000. He carried out the burglaries in the Epping Forest District, and was jailed for eight years.

Raphaella Wiley, of The Plain, Epping

 

The 34-year-old was arrested after being caught taking maths equipment from WH Smith in Epping and other items in Superdrug in Loughton. She was jailed for 12 weeks and ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

Lennie St Clare Walters, homeless

The 47-year-old firearms dealer was caught supply guns and ammunition after he was released from jail. He was caught after officers witnessed him making deliveries to associates in Leyton and West Ham and given life in prison.

 

Bonsu of Billet Road, Walthamstow

 

He was the ringleader of a gang which used sophisticated techniques to steal bank card details and defraud victims of £378,000. He pleaded guilty to conspiring to commit fraud by false representation and received a sentence of three years and three months imprisonment.

Emma Haslett, of Highwood Lane, Loughton

 

Over the course of half a year from February 13 to July 28, 2018 Emma Haslett targeted disabled and vulnerable people aged 65 to 87. She stole cash, wallets and food and lied to neighbours, saying she was a carer. She pleaded guilty to nine burglaries, three frauds, one theft and one count of battery.
